Gentlemen (and boys aged 16 and over) are required to wear a jacket, long sleeved collared shirt and a tie, along with full-length trousers, to all 19 racedays. Women should wear smart attire, suitable for a day at the races. For the warmer fixtures think summer garden-party: a floaty, floral dress, or an elegant top and trouser/skirt combination. For the cooler racedays, dress for the weather by layering up. A tweed jacket paired with boots is the perfect combination to keep you warm.
Sportswear and fancy dress is not permitted.
Children should also dress in smart attire. Boys aged 7-15 years are asked to wear a long sleeved collared shirt (no polo shirts). The dress code is not applicable to children under 7 years.

The Gordon Enclosure has no formal dress code outside of Qatar Goodwood Festival, however, many racegoers in this enclosure do still dress in smart attire for their day at the races.
During Qatar Goodwood Festival, all racegoers are encouraged to dress in a smart and elegant way, bringing a sense of style suited to the occasion of racing at Goodwood.
This dress code applies to the following hospitality areas within the Gordon Enclosure: Sussex Roof Garden and Sussex Lounge Club.

The Lennox is our most relaxed enclosure and has no formal dress code. We would encourage comfortable clothing suitable for enjoying a picnic with friends and family at the world’s most beautiful Racecourse.
